Accessing the New York Times
Historical Newspaper Collections

This service is available off campus ONLY to College staff and
 registered students with a Shasta College Library card.
In order to use this amazing tool, follow the directions listed below. 
1.  Go back to the Newspapers page and click on Historical Collections.
     If you are off campus, select the satellite link for remote access and enter your user ID.
2.  At the ProQuest page, find the Databases text box, below the larger, blank Basic Search box.
3.  Click on the drop arrow and select by clicking on: 
News - The Historical New York Times 
     That action will take you to another search page.
4.  Enter your search terms in the text box;                   .
5.  Enter date or range of dates and click on Search button to begin.
