help you locate good information. These databases are available via the
Library's Articles
& Databases web page. Listed below are some of the databases that
you might find particularly useful for this class:

To read PDF files you must install
the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader. Information about this application,
which is available for free, is available on the Library's

Research: Internet Resources
There are some excellent Internet
resources that can guide you to useful online sites containing reliable
information. The Shasta College librarians have created a resource called
the Internet Reference
to point you towards dependable online information sites. Here are a few

More and more information is making
its way on to the web. However, because the web contains so much data,
it has become more and more difficult to judge whether or not the information
you find is useful. For example, listed below are some good, bad, and just

if the information contained within a website is reliable. The librarians
