The Library maintains subscriptions to more than two dozen useful and reliable online databases designed to help you locate good information. These databases are available via the Library's Articles & Databases web page. Listed below are some of the databases that you might find particularly useful for this class: *A Library Card is required to access this resource from off campus. Online Research: Internet Resources
There are some excellent Internet resources that can guide you to useful online sites containing reliable information. Website Evaluation
More and more information is making its way on to the web. However, because the web contains so much data, it has become more and more difficult to judge whether or not the information you find is useful. For example, listed below are some good, bad, and just plain ugly websites. Fortunately there are several excellent website evaluation guides available online. These guides help you to determine if the information contained within a website is reliable. The librarians here at Shasta College have created a website evaluation guide entitled Consider the Source: Evaluating Research Tools.
